Killing Spree damage

#1 » Post by Fivecapz » 21 Apr 2015 00:35

Hey, this has been a problem for quite a while, that Killing Spree does not do enough damage.

What do i mean by that?

Well here are some things i did - 100% arp, blade flurry, taunka, snd, engi glove enchant +haste and it did like 20k damage, which is not enough with 100% arp and all the other procs...

I'd really like to see other peoples views on this - please devs, and people who actually PLAY combat rogues, in pve and pvp, since other's cant really say anyting about it, since they dont use it on a regular basis, right? right.

Anyway, here's a video of how it looked like, and the damage it did/ and arp i had.

http://www.truewow.org/forum/viewtopic. ... 43#p166743 Does not look like a bug report to me. Besides it would indeed be better if we could stay on topic on this discussion.

A bit patronizing, don't you think Dysphoria?

Each damage of the KSP proc is quite similar to auto atack damage and hack and slash hmmm.

The bug might be that Killing spree might not benefit from 20% increased damage like it says in the tooltip.

From what I noticed http://wotlk.openwow.com/spell=51690 aura doesn't do much to the damage part. Look at crits compared with simple melee hits. 4.7k vs 5k : it's even less! Let alone + 20% (the min 1542 is because of offhand hits).

Also take into account that http://wotlk.openwow.com/spell=58670 doesn't acctivate on dummy because it has shitload of hp and it's at 100% when you test it. To be honest I don't even know if it works anyway...I did test it not long ago but not very thoroughly.

Yap, so its not getting that 20% I think, just a presumption

The damage does get modified by the 20% aura of killing spree.

Casting Killing Spree Main Hand

Code: Select all

Weapon Damage 381 - 572
Base Value 280.257172 (Amount Added By Attack Power)
Total Pct 1.20
Weapon Damage 793.508667 - 1022.708679
Result 815
Casting Killing Spree without aura (Calculated same as normal melee strike)

Code: Select all

Weapon Damage 381 - 572
Base Value 280.257172 (Amount Added By Attack Power)
Weapon Damage 661.257202 - 852.257202
Total Pct 1.00
Result 749

Cool ,ty gecko. Is there any way you could look into Prey on the weak aswell? Would appreciate it.

Prey on The Weak will increase damage on critical strikes on characters with lower health than you when the buff is up. It checks if your currently melee target is below you health every 2 seconds if you don't already have the buff it applies a 10 second buff that adds the crit damage mod. This for the most part would be fine if you are only attacking one target.

Issue
The buff will not get applied unless your melee attacking a target below your health. So if you where to say cast killing spree on a new target that is at lower health you wont get the bonus till 2 or 3 attacks have already landed. Or if you attacking a target at higher hp than you then switch target the same delay will occur.
On the plus side if you attacking a target at less health you can switch to a target with more and the buff will remain till the end of its current duration.

Well, you said that it checks every 2 seconds, so maybe those 2-3 attacks fit into that window resulting in a delay. Anyway, 2-3 attacks is nothing compared to the fact that it actually works. Ty for shedding light on this!
