If i recall correctly it is already coded, it must just be enabled in configs files.

And just now there's a ticket of lost gold. Reducing the timer won't help with anything at all, as I said, not related to crashes or restarts, but rather the poor mail system.

Rejecting as this suggestion doesn't address the issue it proposes to address (mails may get lost regardless of server being online or not, but it has happened much less often lately if ever).
